Developing an Editorial Strategy: From Idea Generation to Measurement

Think of me as the managing editor of employee communications content production and distribution. Our team creates and distributes content across multiple channels (email, internal news wire, digital signage, blog, YouTube, external websites, live events, and social media) to inform, engage, enable, and inspire 19,000+ employees across 70 countries. Our efforts are measured and data-driven. Bloomberg, the global business and financial information and news leader, gives influential decision makers a critical edge by connecting them to a dynamic network of information, people and ideas. The company’s strength – delivering data, news and analytics through innovative technology, quickly and accurately – is at the core of the Bloomberg Professional service, which provides real time financial information to approximately 325,000 subscribers globally.

Shaun will share the tips for effective content writing which delivers results and engages audience.

Patrick Conway retired from the United States Army in 2004, after 30 years in uniform, and returned to military service as a Department of the Army civilian in March, 2004.  His has extensive experience in stimulating individual and organizational performance excellence using creative knowledge sharing, process improvement and inventive learning techniques.  He is passionate about getting results and empowering organizations with the “knowledge agility” needed to achieve their strategic objectives, and enjoys engaging in out-of-the-box discussions on individual and organizational change, adaptation and innovation within the fast paced, global knowledge economy. 

In his keynote, Patrick will share his ideas on how the workforce will change under the influence of disruptive technology.

A Framework for Knowledge Extraction and Communication

David Meza currently serves as the Chief Knowledge Architect at NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC). During his tenure at NASA, he has worked in all aspects of the Information Technology field developing and deploying several IT systems in use at JSC. Mr. Meza is conducting research on Automatic Classification algorithms, domain specific search interfaces, topic modeling, and data driven visualization. He holds a Master’s in Engineering Management from the University of Houston Clear Lake where he is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education.

In his presentation David will showcase the NASA’s KM architecture and what it takes for the space agency to be able to collaborate and share knowledge smoothly.

Digital Workplace in action – Cargill’s implementation story.

Stephen Robinson serves as the Digital Communications Manager, Corporate Affairs, with responsibilities for internal digital strategy including Cargill’s intranet. He is leading the effort to develop a new Digital Workplace strategy to transform how employees work and to aid business units and functions deliver cost-effective services and solutions.

Stephen has more than 15 years of experience in online and digital communications and strategy leadership.  He joined Cargill in 2009 and managed Cargill country site deployments prior to taking on the Intranet manager position in 2011. He has led many internal efforts including the Guiding Principles and Policy Center web sites, and has assisted many business units and functions in developing a web strategy for their respective organizations.  In 2013, Stephen led and implemented the first mobile app, Cargill on the Issues, for all Cargill employees and continues to help evolve the mobile space for the company.

Prior to joining Cargill, he led global online strategies for 3M and Xerox Corp.

Stephen received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Science from Hamline University in Minnesota.

Stephen will open the Intra.NET Reloaded Boston event showcasing Cargill’s digital workplace.

Everything old is new again – even your intranet

As the Firm's first Chief Knowledge Officer, Mr. Benamram provides White & Case strategic direction on knowledge management and technology and leads the Knowledge Management department in developing and implementing the systems and processes that enable the Firm to use its collective knowledge to benefit its clients worldwide.

Prior to joining White & Case in late 2008, Mr. Benamram was Firmwide Director of Knowledge Management and Head of the Israel Desk at Morrison & Foerster. He formed and led the Firm's knowledge management department and helped represent Israeli businesses in the United States and Asia, as well as global investors in Israel.

Mr. Benamram received his BA in Economics from Tel Aviv University Faculty of Social Sciences, magna cum laude, and his LLB from the Tel Aviv University Law School in 1995. He served as Chairman of the Law School Student Council, helped to establish and volunteered in the Tel Aviv University Civil Rights Clinic and received the Law School dean's fellowship for his social involvement. Mr. Benamram was a Major in the Israel Defense Forces, where he served as a Tank Company Commander.
